About

Gene C. Reid Park is a city park of about 156 acres in the middle of Tucson, with ponds, picnic areas, a playground and a dog park. It is open from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Walking the park is free. Reid Park Zoo and Hi Corbett Field, home of Arizona Wildcats Baseball, are inside the park but are separate ticketed venues. The Cele Peterson Rose Garden opened in 1960 and is worth a loop when it is open. It closes every year from December 1 through March 31 for pruning and cleaning.
