About

The Coit Museum of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has been part of the University of Arizona's pharmacy college since 1966. Its collection runs from antique medicines to the Upjohn Pharmacy display that once stood on Disneyland's Main Street. Admission is free, and donations are welcome. It's open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 3, with the entrance on the outside of the Skaggs Pharmaceutical Sciences Center. Ask about the oddest item in the collection, a piece of licorice gum chewed by gangster John Dillinger, a souvenir of his famous Tucson capture. Guided tours can be scheduled ahead by phone.
