Windy Point Vista

Windy Point Vista is a large pullout on the Catalina Highway, about 18 miles up the road to Mount Lemmon. The Forest Service calls it a scenic vista with panoramic views of the Tucson basin and the ranges around it. Stopping here costs nothing, and there are vault toilets on site. It is open for day use only, with no overnight camping. Past the parking area you get a close look at granite pinnacles that weather has worn into odd shapes. Arizona Highways notes it is also a popular spot for weddings.
