Trail Dust Town

Trail Dust Town is an Old West-style town on Tanque Verde Road on Tucson's east side, set up as a family outing. Admission is free, and so is parking, with more than 300 spaces on the property. Walking around and browsing the shops costs nothing. The train, carousel and Ferris wheel run on wooden nickel tickets, and the Pistoleros Wild West stunt show needs its own ticket. Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse serves mesquite-grilled steaks at dinner and is known for its strict no-tie policy. Rides, shops and shows are evening activities, so late afternoon is a good time to arrive.
