Brandi Fenton Memorial Park is a 55-acre Pima County park on the north side of the Rillito River, with access to the Chuck Huckelberry Loop. It opened in 2006 and is named for Brandi Fenton, a 13-year-old who died in a car accident in 2003. Getting in costs nothing, and the splash pad is first come, first served. Ramadas and the commons area can be rented for a fee. The park has shaded playgrounds, dog parks for small, medium and large dogs, an equestrian arena and basketball courts. Brandi loved butterflies, and her memorial garden has a metal butterfly sculpture, a fountain and a Tree of Life honoring southern Arizona organ donors.
