Stroll Summerhaven at 8,200 Feet

Summerhaven is the small mountain village near the top of Mount Lemmon, at about 8,200 feet. The Arizona Trail runs right through the middle of town. Walking around the village is free. The places that cost money are the shops and restaurants, like the Mt. Lemmon General Store with its homemade fudge and the Cookie Cabin with its plate-sized cookies. It makes an easy turnaround point at the end of the Catalina Highway drive. The Mount Lemmon Community Center has public restrooms with water.
