Pima Canyon Trail

Pima Canyon Trail begins at a Pima County trailhead on Magee Road and heads into the Pusch Ridge Wilderness. The first mile crosses a hillside, then the trail drops into the canyon and follows the creek through oak-studded grassland. You don't need a fee or a pass to park at the trailhead. Pets aren't allowed, because the trail runs through a bighorn sheep management area. Landmarks along the way include a small cottonwood grove at mile 1.5 and Pima Dam at mile 3. Arizona Game and Fish built the dam to store water for bighorn sheep.
