About

The Turquoise Trail is a 2.5-mile walking loop through downtown Tucson, marked by a turquoise line painted on the sidewalk. It begins at the Presidio San Agustín del Tucsón Museum on Court Avenue and passes 23 historic sites around the old center of town. Following the line on your own costs nothing. A paper map is $2 and the app is $5, and guided tours cost $35 for non-members with pre-registration required. Turquoise was chosen because it was the one city paint color that didn't already mark a water line or underground utility. Going inside the Presidio Museum is a separate paid admission.
