Cosanti

About

Cosanti is the Paradise Valley home and studio that architect Paolo Soleri began building in the late 1950s. Today it's a working studio where artisans make the bronze and ceramic windbells sold as Cosanti Originals. You can walk the grounds and browse the gallery for free. Guided weekday tours of Soleri's design studio and the historic residential and workshop buildings cost $30 for adults. The organic, earthy buildings feel unlike anything else in the Valley, and the site is on the Arizona Register of Historic Places. On weekdays you might catch artisans pouring molten bronze into sand molds at the foundry.
