About

ASU Gammage is the performing arts hall on Arizona State University's Tempe campus, and it was one of Frank Lloyd Wright's last designs. Grady Gammage, whose name it carries, died in 1959 without seeing it finished. Walking around the outside costs nothing, and the building sits near Mill Avenue and Apache Boulevard. Getting inside takes a show ticket or a building tour by appointment, so call the box office ahead. After Wright died, William Wesley Peters carried the plans forward and designed much of the interior. The goal was a hall as acoustically perfect as possible, and today it hosts touring Broadway shows.
