Mercado San Agustin is an open-air market built in 2010 in the style of a Spanish-colonial courtyard, with whitewashed walls and a brick-paved plaza. It anchors Tucson's Mercado District on the west side, steps from the modern streetcar's westside terminus. The market is home to a mix of local restaurants and shops, including Agustin Kitchen, Presta Coffee Roasters and La Estrella Bakery, known for its Mexican pastries. A farmers market sets up on the plaza every Thursday afternoon, and live music is a regular weekend feature. Walk next door to the MSA Annex, where more local shops and eateries fill a row of repurposed shipping containers.
