Bookmans Speedway is a sprawling used bookstore that also buys, sells and trades CDs, vinyl, video games, musical instruments and electronics. Shelves run from new release paperbacks to vintage game consoles and board games, so a quick stop can easily turn into an hour of browsing. Bob Oldfather started Bookmans in 1976 after buying the small shop from his father for a dollar. It has since grown into the largest independent bookseller in Arizona, with stores across Tucson, Phoenix, Mesa and Flagstaff. Bring in old books, games or instruments of your own and trade them in for store credit or cash on the spot.
