Sphinx Date Co. Palm & Pantry

About

The shop's story starts in Arcadia, where a date palm turned out to be a new variety and the Sphinx Date Ranch grew from it. It has been selling dates for about 75 years. In 2024 it moved to a midcentury plaza near Hayden and Osborn after 33 years on Scottsdale Road. Mother and daughter Sharyn and Rebecca Seitz have owned it since 2012. The dates mostly come from family farms in Yuma and are still sorted by hand. Small batches of Black Sphinx dates come from the original Arcadia grove. Order a date shake. They can also put together a gift tray and ship it.
