The Arizona Authors Association hosts an open mic inside The Historic Y, open to writers and performers of any kind: poetry, prose, music, comedy, and more. Each performer gets a short slot at the mic, keeping the lineup moving and the mix of material varied from one reader to the next. Authors with books or writing for sale can also arrange a table. It draws a mix of established and first-time performers, with the relaxed pace of a community gathering rather than a formal reading series.
