Tabletop Game Night at Short Rest Tavern

About

This gaming bar sits on the second floor of a larger game and hobby store, surrounded by a medieval themed bar area with swords and fantasy decor on the walls. Guests can order food and drinks while browsing a library of more than 600 board games to play at the tables scattered throughout the space. The setup works well for a casual group looking for something to do on a weeknight or a couple wanting a low key date night. Staff can point newcomers toward a game that matches their group size and how much time they have, since some titles wrap up in twenty minutes and others run most of the evening. Because it operates inside a working game shop, players can also browse new releases and pick up a copy of something they enjoyed before heading out. The bar stays open every day of the week, which makes it an easy stop whenever the mood for a board game strikes rather than something that has to be planned around a single scheduled night. Hours run later on weekends than on weekdays, so calling ahead or checking the website before a late visit is worth the extra step.
