The Quincie Douglas Center on Tucson's south side hosts a free annual trunk-or-treat each October, organized by the city's Parks and Recreation department as a safe alternative to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating. Families walk between decorated vehicle trunks collecting candy, with a haunted house adding an extra scare for kids and teens looking for something more thrilling. The center's grounds host additional spooky-season activities throughout the evening. It draws a neighborhood crowd looking for an easy, low-cost night out before Halloween, with parking available nearby at the Quincie Douglas Pool, Library, or Silverlake Park.
