Trail Dust Town trades its usual Wild West bustle for a gentler kind of Halloween on four Fridays each October. A mini costume parade winds through the historic plaza, and the Pistoleros bring their stunt show into the season with a lighthearted, family-friendly Halloween twist. Kids ride the miniature train, Ferris wheel, and carousel, and can tackle a scavenger hunt scattered across the grounds. Character appearances, fall treats, and seasonal snacks fill the gaps between rides and shows, with animal encounters added on select nights. The night is built around nostalgia rather than scares -- there are no scare actors or gore, making it an easy fit for younger trick-or-treaters not quite ready for a haunted house.
