A free trunk-or-treat event brings decorated vehicles and community booths together inside a covered parking structure for a safe, walkable trick-or-treating experience. Local businesses and community organizations line up their trunks, each decorated for the season, handing out candy as kids move from car to car. A costume contest and a "spookiest trunk" competition add extra energy to the afternoon. The covered setting keeps things comfortable regardless of the weather, and the steady flow of decorated vehicles gives the day a festive, neighborhood-block-party feel. Attendees are also invited to bring gently used clothing to donate, adding a small act of giving to the afternoon.
