The evening fiesta marks the traditional start of Southern Arizona's monsoon season with a blessing, music, and community gathering at a historic garden site. The tradition has run for nearly three decades. Visitors take part in a water blessing ceremony rooted in regional tradition, then settle in for live music, dancing, and food from neighborhood vendors as the sun goes down. Children's activities keep the evening family-friendly. The gathering feels intimate and neighborhood-rooted rather than large-scale, carried by longtime local organizers. It offers a quieter, more cultural alternative to Tucson's bigger festivals.
