Run alongside charging bulls through Pamplona's Old Town during the world-famous Encierro, the daily 8am bull run that anchors Spain's San Fermín festival. Each morning from July 7-14, six fighting bulls are released to charge an 848-meter route through narrow cobblestone streets to the Plaza de Toros bullring, a run that lasts just two to three minutes but draws runners and spectators from around the globe. The nine-day festival itself kicks off on July 6 at noon with the 'Chupinazo' rocket launch and closes at midnight on July 14 with the candlelit 'Pobre de Mí' farewell song, filling the city with parades, bullfights, fireworks, and round-the-clock celebration in between.
