This free program opens the Tucson J International Film Festival with five short films from around the world. It gives people a first taste of the festival before the main lineup begins. The shorts range from comedy to drama to documentary. Stories include an unlikely friendship between a bar mitzvah boy and a care-home resident, a widow finding love again, and a chef racing to cook a groundbreaking Jewish meal. It is a relaxed way to sample the festival without buying a pass. Anyone curious about Jewish stories or short films is welcome.
