The Turkey Trot is a casual Thanksgiving morning walk, jog or run put on by the Town of Sahuarita Parks and Recreation. The course is two laps around Sahuarita Lake, about 3K in all. People of every pace take part. Some run hard, some stroll and chat, and many bring kids in strollers. It is a simple way to get moving before the big holiday meal. The mood is relaxed and friendly, with families and neighbors starting the day together. It is free for all ages, and the town asks people to sign up ahead of time.
