El Rio Vivo is a nature, art and music festival that celebrates the return of life along the Salt River. Money raised supports wildlife rescue work. The morning starts with a guided river walk on a paved trail above the river. Stops along the way share facts about local plants and animals, and rescued wildlife ambassadors are out to meet. Later, an art and music festival brings local artists, live bands, food trucks and an online auction. The feel is relaxed, outdoorsy and family friendly. It suits nature lovers, art fans and anyone who wants a full day outside. Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the walk to protect the wildlife.
